Multi-instrumentalist
Rosalind Buda is an accomplished classical and Celtic musician who has been enchanting audiences for over two decades. Her journey began at the age of eight when she first picked up the recorder, but it was her discovery of the bassoon that truly ignited her passion for classical music.
With formal training from prestigious conservatories and years of performance experience, Rosalind has developed a unique approach that bridges the gap between classical tradition and Celtic heritage. Her expertise spans multiple instruments including bassoon, bagpipes, and various traditional whistles.
As a multi-instrumentalist chamber musician, Rosalind performs with The Eclectic Collective, Atlanta, GA, Pan Harmonia, Asheville Baroque Concert Series, Asheville Amadeus Festival, Asheville, NC, South Carolina Bach Orchestra, the Early Music Ensemble Istanpitta, and has performed for the Raleigh Chamber Music Guild, Raleigh, NC
Celtic and Early Music
In Early and Celtic genres Rosalind has performed with the Brevard Music Center Orchestra as a bagpipe soloist, The Reel Sisters, The Atlanta Celtic Christmas, Jamie Laval’s Celtic Christmas, The Red Clay Music Foundry, and with the Brezius pipe band among other folk groups.
Rosalind has played Great Highland Bagpipes with Iowa Scottish Pipes and Drums, Turlach Ur, (IA), Stuart Highlanders (MA), St. Thomas Alumni Grade II (TX) with performances at the World Pipe Band Championships, and The Grandfather Mountain Highlanders (NC).
